Wood is an incredible material to work with, but there are some properties that it almost never has. Bending is one of those properties. We're not talking about bending a thin sheet of wood, but rather folding thick lengths into serpentine patterns. There is a technique for making wood bend that involves making many cuts down the length of a wood piece, essentially turning it into an accordion. By making consistent parallel cuts, you turn that solid plank into a bendable and workable form. Check out how in the video above.
