The construction process is a heavy complicated one that requires many tools and machines. As the years have gone by, construction has progressed to have bigger and bigger machines.
These machines are so massive that when seen up close they overwhelm you. But each of them achieves a specific task that requires them to have such a large size. What are some of these machines and what are their duties? We answer both these questions in today’s videos.
There’s the Zipper Truck System that can build tunnels at 1ft (30cm) per minute. No mortar is required and there is no curing time. The Komatsu Continuous Miner is the largest drum-style continuous miner. It’s ideal for mining gypsum, potassium, trona, and salt.
The Roadprinter Brick Paver is a brick walkway printing machine. It can pave a road up to 19ft (6m) wide at once. The Mining Excavator XE7000 is China’s largest hydraulic excavator. It weighs 700 tons (635 tonnes).
