Could This Be the Easiest Lock to Break Through?

Getting past a lock has never been easier.
Fabienne Lang

Impressively, because there's no other reaction to have in this instance, the lock picker in this video demonstrates just how easy it is to pick one of the world's most used security locks: the Kaba Simplex Series 1000.

All you'll need is a strong rare-earth magnet, or neodymium magnet (one of the most common magnets around), and you're set.

That's it.

We've all most likely used the Kaba Simplex 1000 lock at some point in our lives, and as the video lock picker explains, it's widely used due to its ease. All you need is a four-number code to operate it, and it doesn't require any physical keys. It's simple, and many airport security rooms, labs in buildings, or office doors have installed these locks over the past years.

We won't give it all away, as the video is well worth the watch and will awe you in realizing the pure simplicity required in order to quickly and easily open one of these lock designs.

We're just worried that after watching this video a number of places will 'mysteriously' be broken into!
