Cyclists Charged Tesla Model X With Raw Human Power

That must have been quite the workout for the cyclists.

Well, if you were wondering if there are any alternative ways to charge a Tesla, a Finnish TV show, which conducted an experiment where cyclists cycled like there is no tomorrow to charge the battery of a Tesla Model X, delivers a new way for you. And the cool thing is that, it worked 100%.

While electric cars are praised for their green nature, this is most definitely the greenest way to charge a Tesla and get a workout at the same time.

One of the best things about electric vehicles is that you get to choose where the energy powering your car comes from.

Since with electric vehicles you can choose where the energy powering your car comes from, an inventor from Finland, Janne Käpylehto, decided to try another source of power, which happened to be, human power.

The inventor built the system that creates electricity from nine bikes to feed into a charging station, which in turn, charges the Tesla Model X.

In order to test his stationary bikes, a demonstration was done on a Finnish TV show. It's crazy but the cyclists reached over 1 kW of power. By cycling, they were able to add about 2 km of range to Model X in 20 minutes. That must have been quite the workout!
