Elon Musk Gives YouTuber Marques Brownlee an Exclusive Behind The Scenes Factory Tour
American YouTube celebrity Marques Brownlee, also known by his show name MKBHD, is famous for his technology-focused videos. He is also known to be a big fan of tech entrepreneur giant Elon Musk.
In fact, Brownlee was one of the first to buy Musk's limited edition Tesla surfer boards, despite not knowing how to surf. So it is no surprise to see the star interview the electric car firm's CEO.
The fun, playful and rather loud video, takes place in Tesla's Fremont factory. Brownlee is given what he calls a "mini factory tour" in the busy building.
Brownlee is clearly very excited about the experience, calling himself a "kid in the matrix absorbing everything." The video gets abruptly cut when Musk is called into a meeting but the end result is an entertaining behind the scenes look at one of the world's most famous factories.
Musk explains what his many "robots" do and proceeds to illustrate how they "attempt to improve production." He details the intricacies and complications of effective assembly lines and gives Brownlee an insider look at the manufacturing process.
"That is pretty cool most people never see the inside of the car," says at one point Musk who is nearly as excited as Brownlee. Musk passionately shares details about various production stages outlining both human and robot roles.
The video even reveals some fun little Tesla trivia. It turns out that black and white are the two most popular Tesla car colors and that Musk really loves the aesthetics of mat.
