Engineer Builds World's First Retractable Star Wars Lightsaber
This video answers a question that had been dwelling in the minds of millions of people, and now, asked by the video's creator himself: "How do heck do you build a plasma-based lightsaber?"
YouTuber James Hobson, widely known as "the Hacksmith", has a knack for turning sci-fi items into a reality for the pleasure of ten million following he has on his platform. Now, he is claiming to have built "the world's first, retractable, and plasma-based lightsaber."
A huge Star Wars fan for years, he had tried to build various other lightsabers; however, none of them were this close to "reality."
With the power of engineering and some careful testing, the Hacksmith was able to create a real-life lightsaber which is fully retractable and can cut through materials such as sheet steel. Moreover, while its original color is white, it can change color with the addition of specific chemicals. How? Watch the video to find out.
