This Entrancing Sculpture Rarely Stops Spinning
This kinetic art piece was created by Piotr Jedrzejewski. The constantly-moving installment uses gear-driven rotating spheres to maintain its motion. The hundreds of moving elements are encased in an acrylic glass sphere. You can currently see the sculpture in front of the Wroclaw-Copernicus Airport in Poland. The sphere naturally turns on its own every nine minutes, as the gears are connected to a clock. However, for those too impatient to wait, the sculpture will also turn due to a motion sensor.
