This Is the World's Strongest Explosive-Powered Nut Cracker
Christmas is coming soon and YouTuber Stuff Made Here has a pleasant surprise for us that may just make the perfect gift. He made an explosive-powered nutcracker he calls Jaws.
He claims Jaws is the world's most powerful nutcracker. After all, it was built to crack actual metal bolts. This all started when the YouTuber made an explosive-powered bat. You can imagine how far it would throw balls!
With a little bit of tinkering and a lot of engineering, he managed to fix the technology to fit in a nutcracker. Jaws is powered by these little explosive blanks which are used to drive nails directly into concrete. You can imagine then how powerful they are.
The YouTuber used four of these blanks at the same time which at the beginning greatly complicated his task. Getting this thing working proved a complex mission as the nutcracker proceeded to tear itself apart with each explosion.
What did the YouTuber do to stabilize the nutcracker? How well did he manage to make it perform? What objects can the powerful nutcracker break? How long does it last before falling apart? This video answers all these questions and more.
The team had to work out how to enhance both HTC and CHF by adding a series of microscale cavities (dents) to a surface.
