YouTubers put Formula 1 tires on a used Toyota MR2

What is the end result of this strange experiment?

What do you get if you combine a simple Toyota MR2 with Formula One tires? These YouTubers sought to find out and videotaped the process.

It all started when they decided to fit Formula One tires on a regular car. In order to do this, they had to find a car whose breaks were small enough to accommodate the professional tires.

After some thorough research, they agreed on the Toyota MR2. They bought one used online for 1,500 GBP (about 1,800 US dollars) and assured the car's seller that they were giving up their vehicle in good hands.

What they failed to mention, however, is what they planned to do with the tires. The YouTubers had to make many adaptations to fit the professional tires on the MR2, but in the end, their endeavor proved successful... at least for a while.

When they took their newly-created car to the track to test it, they somehow managed to get one of the tires jammed. This effect was so pronounced that they had to remove and replace the entire tire to get the car moving again.

How did the car perform once that was done? Watch the video to find out.
