Building dams is an essential process to both water resource management and energy generation, but what happens when a ship needs to cross one? The Three Gorges Dam in China is the largest dam in the world, and therefore it has the world's largest ship elevator as well. This elevator can lift 6.7 million pounds together, and can haul some pretty massive ships up the 370 vertical climb. Check out all it can do in the video above.
