There have been a lot of people who said that he wouldn't succeed, that Tesla doesn't even have a factory, and other famous car brands would overcome Tesla. But in the end, Elon Musk is now one of the most famous and successful people in the world with a successful car brand, and other successful projects at the same time.
He never let anyone stand in his way and he never lost hope on himself. All he did was work and work some more to prove the people who made fun of him wrong.
