You rarely think about it while you are cruising down the highway but the reason you are safe on these massive roads is because of super-effective barrier systems. These systems need to be created to be highly visible to drivers and strong enough to withstand whatever vehicle might lose control and head their way. How are such systems built?
In this video, we examine five road barrier systems and how they are made. We look at the details of the specialized design of the ETI Roller Barrier System, the road zipper, the wedge barrier, the high strength raisable bollard, and the Portable Spiked Mobile Barrier. At first glance, these systems might all seem very different.
They are all presented very differently after all. But they all have a few things in common. They are all created to be sturdy enough to withstand an out of control vehicle falling on them and they are all designed to be visible from a distance to help ensure that the road regulations that keep us safe are implemented.
