Engineer Shows How You Can Do the 'Sitting In the Air Trick'

Although beware, it's nowhere near as comfortable as it looks.

At one point in your life, you must have seen the invisible chair trick done by illusionists. It is one of the oldest "magic" tricks in the book, and it is pretty amazing since it really does look like the performer is sitting on an invisible chair. This isn't a matter of magic though, as you'll see in this video, it's a matter of engineering.

But how does one sit in the air on an invisible chair like all those great illusionists? In this video, the YouTube channel The Q asks this question and, per the description box, the answer is pretty simple.

While actually executing the trick might not be that easy, the idea behind it is straightforward, but probably very uncomfortable to perform. Watch this video to curb your curiosity, maybe you will be inspired to perform this trick to your friends! You can also check out these physics tricks that will surely entertain your party guests once the social distancing measures are lifted.
