YouTuber Driven Media brings us interesting car experiments such as this one where he put skinny tires on a regular car and this one where he explains how Honda's oval piston engine works.
In this latest edition of his show, the YouTuber tests to see whether a human can beat a vehicle's anti-lock braking system (ABS). To do this, he took to a track and tested the braking system of a vehicle when ABS is on compared to a race car driver and a regular driver driving with ABS off.
The car was being driven at 96 kmh. The first trial with the ABS on saw the car come to a complete stop at 34.93 m, the second at 35.11 m, and the third at 34. 15m.
Then the YouTuber turned the ABS off and tested the car's braking system with a regular driver and a professional one.
Which driver performed better? Did it make a difference who was behind the wheel when it comes to braking? What are the laws of engineering behind ABS? Is the system really necessary for all vehicles? What advantages does it offer? This video answers all these questions and more.
