Watch Ingenious Car-Stopping Systems in Action

These systems stop cars in their tracks.

Sometimes authorities need to stop vehicles due to speeding. At first, this may seem impossible without injuring anyone, but it is not.

People have built some pretty ingenious systems for stopping cars right in their tracks that work like a charm. In this video, we bring you eight examples of these.

We begin with the wedge barriers that are hydraulically powered to move up and down and move forward to the Grappler Police Bumper that lets cops disable the rear wheels of a speeding car.

The modular vehicle barrier can be assembled to any length and is easy to deploy while the RF Safe-Stop system can stop any moving vehicle on land, air, or sea by transmitting an electromagnetic pulsed beam that disables the vehicle's engine.

The ArrestNet stops a speeding vehicle by wrapping around its tires while the DragNet Vehicle Arresting Barrier can automatically deploy or retract to handle cars and trailers of all sizes.

These are but a few of the nifty barrier systems we feature. If you want to see more and watch cars stopped in their tracks, give our video a watch. We promise you won't be disappointed.
