The tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon recently showcased some of the best-emerging robot technology including mini-cheetah and Tomatan, a wearable robot that feeds you tomatoes as you jog.

But the highlight was Sophia the Robot developed by Hanson Robotics.

As with many of his guests, Sophia and the Jimmy Fallon sang a duet together. The robot and the charming host impressed with a version of “Say Something” by A Great Big World.

While it all went off without a hitch, we'll leave it to you to decide if this was creepy or cool. If you aren’t familiar with Sophia, she is a humanoid robot developed by Hong Kong-based company Hanson Robotics.

Sophia made her first major public premiere at the 2016 South by Southwest Festival (SXSW). Sophia can display more than 50 facial expressions in mid-March 2016 in Austin, Texas, United States.

In 2017 she was made an official citizen of Saudi Arabia.

Later that year she was also named the United Nations Development Programme's first-ever Innovation Champion, the first UN prize given to a non-human.

Sophia has a popular Twitter account where she posts about her numerous public speaking engagements as well as a few sage words of advice.
