Learn How to Make Your Own Mini Rocker-Bogie Robot at Home
The ingenious Navin Khambhala is at it again. The brilliant inventor has another great video for you, this time "Make a Rocker bogie Robot at Home - Stair climbing car” or as we like to call it the mini Mars Rover. In the now familiar Khambhala style, the video takes you through the process of how to create your own stair climbing car at a fairly rapid pace. The video isn't meant to be a typical instructable, rather it serves as a piece of engineering motivation.
We love that the all the videos on the channel use cheap and easily available materials. Often it is stuff you might have lying around or would otherwise go to waste from bigger projects. For the stair climber project, you’ll need a bunch of PVC pipes. On the other hand, every project also has some fairly complex electrical engineering involved. In this case, you’ll need six 12V DC motors and the knowledge to connect these to a wireless controller. As Khambhala suggests “Entertain yourself but always be safe, and everything you do is at YOUR OWN RISK!”
But even if you don’t plan on attempting to build your own mini Mars Rover, the videos are really fun to watch and definitely got us inspired to think about some home projects.
