Safes are nifty inventions that allow you to keep your valuables safe. What is even cooler is when safes come in all kinds of shapes and sizes.
This chess set safe is not only a great way to protect your stuff but it also allows you to play the game. Best of all, you can make this safe at home.
The process requires some advanced tools and expertise but watching it being made in this video sure is loads of fun. To begin this project, here are the ingredients you will need: Plywood, Cardboard, Hot Glue, Chess Board, Door Hinges, Wood Sticks, CD-ROM Electric Engine, Battery 9V, Wires and Contacts, CD Box, Coins, and Magnets.
Start by making a square box using several pieces of plywood. The box is held together by hot glue. On one side of the box, cut a smaller rectangular piece. This part will be the door of the safe.
Using door hinges attach that rectangular piece to the rest of the box. Cut out a round piece in the door that will be used to indicate whether the door is locked or not. Sounds good so far? Great!
Now, we won't tell you what you do next. You have to watch the video for that. We do promise, it's loads of fun.
