You can try this at home.

No one likes getting robbed. It's not only the items you lose in the process it's also the feeling that you are no longer safe. Today, there are plenty of devices that can help protect against robberies. There are security cameras and loud alarms and that's just the beginning.

One YouTuber however decided to build his own alarm system. Why? Perhaps it was cheaper or more entertaining. YouTuber Mike Boyd does not explain why he takes on this challenging task, he just proceeds to illustrate how he does it.

He starts out with a Raspberry Pi and a really loud alarm. Indeed, the alarm is loud enough to have our ears ringing so we know it will be loud enough for whatever Boyd wants to build.

And what exactly does he want to build? An alarm system that will be heard from wherever in his house he may be so that he may contact the relevant authorities whenever it is breached. That may not sound so complicated but the video proves this wrong.

How exactly does Boyd build his alarm system? How does he set it up to be triggered? How can it be turned off? This video answers all these questions and more.
