Andre has three videos on his channel, this epic puzzle journey, the follow-up video showing how he mounts the giant puzzle into a frame and one film that acts as his puzzle mastery showreel. The biggest puzzle in question is called ‘wildlife’ by Educa. You can get one yourself on Amazon for about $300. This thing is so big it comes with its own wheeled carry case! The history of puzzles goes back to when European map makers would paste maps onto a wood board then cut it into small pieces, it not clear if this was a security tactic or a matter of convenience for carrying around. But the idea took off and the map has been a fun and educational time-sucker ever since.
The largest puzzle ever made has 40,320 pieces and is made by German game company Ravensburger. The image is made of memorable moments from Disney movies including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.
