Meet the World's Widest Ship
Historic Flatiron building has gone up for auction: Rare opportunity to own iconic landmark
Called the Ramform Titan, the world's widest boat is used to detect and monitor seismic activity across the globe. Between three engines, the boat comes in with an impressive 1.8 MW of power. The reason the ship is so wide is because in order to monitor seismic activity, crews must tow long lines of sensors, often stretching thousands of feet in width in total.
