Could Microwaves Become the Hottest New Gaming System?
The short answer is no. We don't see anyone trading their PS3 consoles for a General Electric Spacemaker anytime soon. However, it doesn't mean that you can't tweak your favorite kitchen appliance into a console if needed. Leave it to YouTube's mastermind of random builds Colin Furze to make this fan suggestion a reality. He created the "Play-O-Wave." The fully functioning microwave doubles as a game screen thanks to an adjusted video input. The screen is embedded into the door, and the appropriate phono plugs were added into the system. Furze points out that (theoretically) you could plug in a PlayStation to the microwave. But microwaves aren't great in dealing with other electronics, so be careful with screen placement.
So, if you have the parts available and don't feel like twiddling your thumbs while waiting for your meal to heat up, feel free to give this a shot. We're wondering if Furze would start a series combining kitchen appliances with other gadgets.
