We all know the military has large budgets for research and development, meaning it often produces advanced military tech that is bound to surpass your initial assumptions. And it’s not all guns and weapons. There are other innovations too that might even be useful for civilians.

The Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binoculars (ENVG-B) come with an integrated augmented reality system that outlines targets in a glowing light and could be ideal for hunting. The Black Hornet Drone is a useful and tiny unmanned vehicle that fits into the pockets of soldiers.

Then there’s the famous Flying Jet Suit. This one wasn’t created for military purposes but it was adopted by the royal marines. We recently featured a video of the troops using the suit in a Maritime Boarding Operation exercise. The 3D-printed, body-controlled flying suit was used for soldiers to board boats with precision and without risking being exposed during the usual fast-roping.

The Ratnik-3 Exoskeleton is an absolutely impenetrable combat suit that is bulletproof, explosion-proof, and even fire-proof. Have we impressed you yet? Then, watch our video to see these and other military advancements in action.
