Modified Porsche 911 Sets a Quarter-Mile Time of 9.74 seconds

The GT2 RS has been modified with aftermarket downpipes, a methanol injection kit, and a tune.

This modified Porsche 911 GT2 RS with 700 horsepower will impress you at the drag strip. Modified by Kanoo Performance in Bahrain, the car has seen the addition of aftermarket downpipes, a methanol injection kit, and a tune. They also adorn it with a set of drag slicks.

What do all these modifications achieve? Well, the car can lay down a 9.42-second quarter-mile at 238 kmph. This number is faster than the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon by a couple of tenths, and that car was built to drag race!

We shouldn't be that surprised. The car did hold the production-car Nurburgring lap recordPorsche said that the 911 GT2 RS lapped the 'Ring in 6:47.30 seconds. Impressive indeed!

Now we can't help but wonder what it might be able to achieve with some more changes, like bigger turbos. Maybe we will find out soon enough. In the meantime, we will just enjoy this current vide of the quarter-mile.
