From mini to mighty, here are the world's most powerful continuous magnets to date

It's impossible not to be attracted.

When you read the word "magnets," the first thing that appears in your mind might be the to-do list on your fridge's door. However, as you'd imagine, magnets and magnetisms are much more than that since they basically make the world go around. In fact, magnets can be found in anything from electric motors and generators to mechanical hard drives and microwave ovens. Magnets are also a key component of the new fusion reactors that may usher in a world of clean energy.

But what is magnetism? It's a property of matter that is typically generated by the movement of electric charges. It's created by the orbit of electrons around the nucleus of an atom, and scientists can generate large magnetic fields by winding wire coils, which generate a magnetic field that flows through the coil when a charge is passed through it. If you want to learn more, you can watch this video by the YouTube channel Curious Droid, which explains how magnets are an often neglected yet essential aspect of our modern environment.
