Motorcyclist Miraculously Survives This Horrifying 250-Foot Fall
A camera mounted on a motorcyclist's helmet captured his terrifying plummet 250 feet off a mountain road. Matthew Murray miraculously survived the fall after experiencing steering problems with his bike. The bike hit the gravel during an attempt to take a corner, sending the motorcyclist skidding towards the cliff unable to brake due to the slippery surface.
The video shows him tumbling down the cliff through a wooded forest. Unbelievably, not only did Murray survive the fall he then climbed back up the ravine to get help. You can hear in the video, Murray attempting to scream for help, but to no avail. Unable to climb down the ravine, he bravely turned and headed back to the road, hoping to grab a passing motorist's attention.
The accident left him with a broken back, collar bone, hip, pelvis, and two punctured lungs. Murray has decided that that was his final ride, once he recovers he won’t be getting back on the bike. In an interview he gave to CBS2, he explained how the steering of the bike locked up which made him unable to turn into the corner.
Murray has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for his rising medical bills. Unluckily for the young man, his emergency insurance was out of date, meaning his whole rehabilitation bill will need to be covered without assistance.
