Thanks to today’s advancements, the fastest laser engraving and cutting machine can now move at 170 in/s (432 cm/s) with 5g acceleration. And if that's not enough, there's also another laser cutter that can cut through 0.8-in (2-cm) acrylic in a single pass while engraving a 256-level grayscale image. Oh and have we mentioned fiber lasers? They consume less energy than CO2 laser cutters.
