A DIY enthusiast puts a huge propeller on his bike. And rides it at 20 MPH
Chances are, you haven't ever wondered what might happen if you put a massive propeller on a bike. Fireball Tool, a YouTube channel run by a DIY enthusiast with a love for welding, machining, and general fabrication, has made a video to answer this question nobody was asking.
He explains that he got the idea after diving into his collection of Popular Mechanics magazines and seeing Ernest Winter’s air screw bicycle. Winder claimed that the bike is able to hit 20 mph! After being inspired by this ingenious design, he decided to build it, with many questions like how to build the propeller and whether he can power it with his feet on his mind.
In this 35-minute video, he goes on a journey to build the bike, test it, and more. If you're curious to see the process, make sure you watch the video embedded above, and as always, enjoy.
