Testing the Brachistochrone Curve with a 3D Printed Tautochrone Track
In mathematics, a brachistochrone curve or "shortest time" curve is one on which a ball slides frictionlessly under the influence of a uniform gravitational field to a given end point in the shortest time.
This video demonstrates how the brachistochrone curve works as a tautochrone, where a ball placed at any point on the curve will reach the end point in the same amount of time.
A special 3D printed cycloid contraption is built in order to demonstrate this theory.
