For insane slow-mo pan shots, filmmakers can often use multiple cameras simultaneously to capture the action at all angles. Google Engineer Ben Krasnow with Applied Sciences found an easier way to do this. He made a spinning rig to rotate a high-speed camera with ease.
The Chronos camera, the one featured in the video, can be bought via Kickstarter for $2,500.
