Tesla is moving impressively fast with the building of its Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai, China. The company just announced the deal about seven months ago and only about five months ago did they secure the land.
But by the looks of this drone video posted by YouTuber Jason Yang, the factory seems to be nearing completion. Tesla has already unveiled a rendering of what the plant is supposed to look like. The new drone footage shows that it is getting very close to that.
Regarding the plant, Electrek reports that Tesla has said that it “will take roughly two years” until they start volume production with a planned capacity of 200,000 units and “then another two to three years before the factory is fully ramped up to produce around 500,000 vehicles per year for Chinese customers."
The video is proof that Elon Musk may just achieve his super ambitious goals.
