Brought to you by The Slow Mo Guys, is this unique video clip of a 90 feet wave in slow motion. The stars of this funny channel, Gav and Dan, had to go to Edinburgh, Scotland to shoot this video.

More specifically the intrepid duo went to University of Edinburgh's FloWave Ocean Energy Research Facility.

"Conceived for cutting edge academic research into wave and tidal current interactions, the FloWave Ocean Energy Research Facility is also an amazing tool for commercial developers to ensure their technologies and projects perform 'right first time' and are de-risked as much as practical before cutting steel or going offshore," reads the facility's website.

And what did Dan and Gav do over there? Well here is how they described it.

"Gav and Dan go to an ocean simulator to film a wave that does not occur anywhere in nature in glorious 4K slow motion. Do we hit Dan in the face with it?" reads the clip's description.

We won't tell you whether the wave hit Dan. You have to watch the video for that.

We will tell you that watching the vertical wave rise is one of the most beautifully mesmerizing things we have seen in a long while. But don't take our word for it, watch it yourself.
