This might not seem like a scientific mystery, but there has been much work done around why shower curtains cling to people when they attempt to take a shower. Yes, it is true.

Now, the good people at SciShow have brought us all the science behind this funny little problem. In this clip, the SciShow host goes through all the theories offered up for the curtain's antics.

The question came from a fan of the show which makes us happy to know they are listening to us.

So why do shower curtains cling to us? Well, there are several theories all based on physics.

At first, they thought it was related to hot water. But the effect still happened in cold showers.

Then they explored air pressure questions. We won't tell you all the theories. Just watch the video and make sure to be careful the next time you shower.

At least, you will be able to relax knowing the curtain is not out to get you. It's just physics.

SciShow also does offer two solutions to avoid this phenomenon. Buy heavy curtains or curtains with magnets at the bottom.
