This YouTuber Explores How Hard You Can Hit a Golf Ball
How hard you can hit a golf ball might seem like a simple question, but it is actually complex. The real question here is, how hard can you hit it before it changes its shape?
YouTuber SmarterEveryDay decided to test this theory. To do this, he teamed up with engineer and fellow YouTuber, Mark Rober.
What they did was nothing short of impressive. They designed a rocket-powered golf club to hit the ball with enough strength, to hopefully deform it.
Perhaps the coolest part of the whole video is a slow-motion shot of the rocket-powered golf club hitting the ball.
But what did they discover?
They still didn't come close to changing the mechanical components of the ball. So, they decided to switch the experiment and have the ball hit the golf club at super fast velocity.
They created a vacuum chamber for this last experiment and once again shot its results in slow motion. Just watching the gold ball deform and then get back in shape was amazing, but we won't tell you what happened next.
You have to watch the video for that. We will, however, tell you that you will never look at super resilient golf balls the same way again.
Coya has found a way to extract dysfunctional T-cells from patients and engineer them back to functionality. This has delivered some promising results so far.
