Top Gear Races a McLaren Speedtail Against an F-35 Fighter Jet
Yes, it is as crazy as it sounds and there can only be one winner.
Inspired by an older episode of Top Gear where the show raced a Bugatti Veyron against a Eurofighter Typhoon, the show now decided to race a no-nonsense supercar against a fighter jet. Let's take a look at their stats, and you decide for yourself before watching the race:
On one hand, we have the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, which is it. The aircraft is one of the most sophisticated military vehicles that's still in use and it is one of the most advanced, complex, and expensive aircraft ever produced. And well, it flies.
On the other hand, the McLaren Speedtail is McLaren's fastest production vehicle ever due to its top speed of 403 kph (250 mph). Here is how the race goes: on a triangle-shaped track, the vehicles start side by side and the rest is history. Can you guess who wins?
