From bridge riddles to envelope ones, there is no shortage of fun brain teasers to be solved. These puzzles exercise our minds and stimulate our thinking buds.

And although the answer turns out to usually be something painfully obvious, it is always hard to find the right approach to the solution. So when Physics Girl posted one such riddle on her YouTube channel, we knew it would be a good one.

Physics Girl, whose real name is Dianna Leilani Cowern, is a science communicator and host of a PBS Digital Studios channel called --- you guessed it--- Physics Girl. Her fun, light and fast-paced videos are posted on YouTube and are known by fans worldwide for their ability to explain various physical effects in terms simple enough for all to comprehend.

One week ago, Dianna posted a video featuring another YouTube celebrity; musician Kurt Hugo Schneider. The clip, called The Broom Riddle, was the third part of a series of mind-boggling riddles.

The premise is simple. Dianna balances a broom on her hand using the cleaning tool's center of mass. She then asks a question: if the broom is cut at that point, which side would weigh more? Luckily for Schneider, he finds the right answer!

We won't share which side is the heaviest, you have to watch the video for that. However, we will let you know the clip features a thorough explanation complete with explicit diagrams.
