Watch This Stripped-Down CT Scanner Spin at Its Maximum Speed
Ever wondered how fast the inside of a CT scanner spins?
A Computerized Tomography (CT) scan is a special type of X-ray which is used to view a patient's internal organs. The scanner consists of a flat table, where the patient lies, and a tube-shaped device which rotates around the patient. The tube-shaped device consists of many X-ray scanners which scan the patient's body from all directions.
The video shows as a CT scanner spin at its maximum speed. The CT scanner has been stripped down to reveal the inner workings of this popular machine.
