Watch Explosions of Batteries Heated by a Blowtorch in Slow Motion
Warning labels on your average AA batteries warn against leaving them near a heat source, so that's exactly what the Slo Mo Guys did.
Gav and Dan used a blow torch to heat up the battery while filming this all in slow motion at 70,000fps.
They are here to show us how dangerous batteries can be. The seemingly innocent AA battery can easily turn into a high-speed, exploding projectile.
Watch the different effects of a heated Alkaline battery compared to a more powerful lithium battery.
