Watch The Atlas V Rocket Launch - LIVE
Everyone needs a distraction from current events sometimes. What better way to take your mind off of stressful situations than with an incredibly cool rocket launch?
The United Launch Alliance, in partnership with Boeing and Lockheed Martin, will send its Atlas V rockets into space today at 1:30 p.m. ET. The launch will occur at the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
So what's the rocket carrying? The WorldView-4, a commercial imaging satellite to be operated by DigitalGlobe, will join three other WorldView satellites already in orbit.
ULA CEO Tory Bruno said the mission has a 90 percent launch change. The company included a 15-minute launch window as well. The live broadcast is set to begin at 1:05 ET.
