A new Tesla Solar Roof owner in Wisconsin named Jason Lassen has shared a video of his roof after it has experienced one of its first snowfalls. Stating that the roof is just about complete in the description box, Lassen's video shows the before and after of the snowstorm.

He explains that he wanted to see how quickly the snow falls off the roof and whether it melts or slides right off. Based on his experience, it looks like the solar roof can handle large amounts of snow with ease. The video shows how the Tesla Solar Roof automatically makes the snow slide right off by heating to keep producing electricity. In the video, it can be seen that the snow accumulated briefly before sliding off while the other houses in the neighborhood still had snow on their roofs.

In case you're not familiar, Solar Roof is made up of tempered glass tiles with solar cells inside that can produce solar energy. Tesla replaces the roof of the customer's house with solar roof tiles, and you can see the installation taking place in just four days here.
