Blink and you’ll miss it. You’ll need to rewatch this video a few times to see just exactly how this race car picks up speed and flips twice over while approaching a notoriously difficult turn of the course.

The terrifying footage was captured at the 2018 FIA World Endurance Championship. The car was driven by Matevos Isaakyan, who miraculously survived the accident without injury.

The 20-year-old Russian was able to exit the vehicle without medical assistance. Isaakyan was competing in the FIA World Endurance Championships, a race that sees Le Mans Prototypes and grand tourer-style race across four categories.

This opening leg of the series, called 6 Hours of Spa is hosted at Spa-Francorchamps. Spa-Francorchamps is a famous racing circuit in Belgium notorious for its difficult corners.

On the day before Isaakyan’s crash, a driver broke both his legs in another incident. The grandson of legendary driver Emerson Fittipaldi was airlifted to hospital after crashing his vehicle.
