What Happens When 1,000,000 Tsar Bombas Explode in the Deepest Point on Earth
Thanks to the internet, now we can learn the answers to questions that we couldn't even come up with, in the first place. In this video, YouTube channel HOWEVER explains in a rather dramatic manner what would happen if someone detonated 1,000,000 Tsar Bombas in the Challenger Deep, which is the deepest point on the Earth's surface.
In case you didn't know, Tsar Bomba, in other words, the Soviet RDS-220 hydrogen bomb, was the most powerful nuclear weapon ever created and tested. As you'd imagine, the most powerful thermonuclear bomb ever invented becomes even more of an apocalypse material when you imagine there being 1,000,000 of them.
One YouTube user named Marjuicen asked, "Who has this on their 2020 bingo cards?" and while the comment did make us laugh, now we will get nightmares about it. Watch the video to really understand the scope of such an explosion.
If you're interested in seeing more of "Tsar Bomba", you're in luck. Russia recently released a video of its 1961 nuclear explosion which was equivalent to 50 million tons of TNT.
Elena D'Onghia, an associate professor at UW–Madison, has proposed a new concept for a Halbach Torus (HaT) to help protect astronauts from cosmic radiation.
