Sometimes our fears can drive our greatest innovations. This is true of Elon Musk and his fears regarding artificial intelligence.

The famous billionaire entrepreneur has often expressed how he believed AI might one day overshadow the human race. With the launch of Neuralink, the co-founder may have found a way to fight off those outcomes.

The company was founded about four years ago but up to recently kept its operations quite secret. Despite the hype surrounding the firm, many are still unsure about what its products actually do.

This is not surprising as the technology surrounding Neuralink is quite complex. To summarize it, the tech has been described as a "Fitbit in your skull with tiny wires."

The brain-computer interface could be used to expand human capabilities in essence giving humans some superior powers. Some of the things that the implant has been said to do are to offer superhuman vision, play your favorite movie in your head, or download your brain to a computer.

If this all sounds straight out of a science fiction movie, it's because it is. If we have piqued your curiosity then watch our video to find out all about Neuralink and the many incredible things it can already achieve.
