History can be a bit boring if you're not listening from the right person, and we can assure you that with YouTube channel Thought2 narrating, it is nothing but boring. This video does involve a lot of boring, however.

You might have heard about the Kola Superdeep Borehole, which has been the deepest artificial point on Earth since 1989. It is a drilling project of the Soviet Union in the Pechengsky District, on the Kola Peninsula.

We all know about the Space Race of the Cold War era; however, a different and less-publicized race was apparently also taking place between U.S.' and U.S.S.R.'s greatest drillers.

In this project, it was attempted to drill as deep as possible into the Earth's crust, and that is saying something since some say that our knowledge of some galaxies are vaster than what we know about what lies below us. Join Thoughty2 on this trip into the deepest artificial hole, and prepare to be fascinated!
