YouTuber explains how time travel is actually possible in quantum mechanics
YouTuber The Action Lab always brings us fun and exciting science experiments that he uses to educate us about complex scientific principles. You may remember this episode when he made a laser microscope using just a drop of water or this one when he made a black mirror.
In this edition of his show, he shows us a real-life quantum delayed choice experiment in order to explain how time travel is actually possible in quantum mechanics.
To do this, he uses a simple green laser and a beam splitter which makes it so 50% of photons go through and the other 50% are diverted.
He also places two mirrors on each side that can reflect the photons on their path. You may be wondering, what does all this have to do with time travel?
The YouTuber continues his experiment and showcases exactly how the intricate setup he has constructed relates to time travel. How does he do that? What are the scientific outcomes of his experiment? Where else can the principles deduced be applied? Could this make time travel a reality for all of us? This video answers all these questions and more.
