YouTubers Finally Get a C7 Corvette to Hit 200 MPH

Normally, C7 Corvettes cannot go past 195 mph (313 km/h).

Did you know that C7 Corvettes are stuck at the 195mph barrier? Neither did we, but it turns out the cars created as the seventh generation of the Corvette sports cars did indeed have this problem!

Not anymore! According to this new video, a crew at Vengeance Racing gave the car the power it needed to go faster and the end result is fun to watch particularly since the car achieves this impressive feat so quietly.

"C7 Corvette’s have been stuck at the 195mph barrier for so long, battling ridiculous issues the plague the platform at this build level! That era is finally over, as this Vengeance Racing built C7 Corvette not only blasted past that barrier once but also added almost 20 mph (32 hm/h) to the old record!" said YouTubers 1320video in their clip description.

"Owner Michael Stout, who gives all credit to the crew at Vengeance Racing, could not have been any more excited to achieve this goal given the amount of time he’s invested in trying to break this record! We couldn’t have been happier to be able to catch this record happen, as we weren’t even sure if we were going to be able to make the event. On top of it now being the fastest Corvette ever, we think it might also possibly be the quietest one too!"
